Durant Brooks, Sales Engineer at Sluss+Padgett & punter for the Yellow Jackets from 2006-2007, was inducted into the Georgia Tech Hall of Fame on September 22nd. His wife, Natanya, presented him with the honors.
Here are Durant's impressive stats: One of the top punters in Georgia Tech and ACC history and one of the nation's top punters in both 2006 and 2007… a two-time finalist for the Ray Guy Award and the winner of the 2007 Ray Guy Award… a two-time first team All-ACC selection… has the highest career punting average in the history of the ACC… also served as the holder on kicks… transferred to Tech in 2005 after two seasons at Georgia Military College… his statistics are even more remarkable considering that Brooks handled all Tech punts, including pooch-punts that can impact individual averages… selected to play in the prestigious Senior Bowl, where he punted twice for an average of 45.0 yards. Way to go, Durant!!!
